Konica Minolta C5102/C5103 — Transport motor failure

What this error means

The main paper-transport motor failed to turn (C5102) or turned at abnormal timing (C5103). Before the service call: a hidden jam loading the drive train can mimic motor failure — clear every scrap first.

Symptoms

  • Error as printing starts
  • After a serious jam

Try this first (safe DIY steps)

  1. Open everything; hunt jam fragments thoroughly (they bind the drive train)
  2. Power off 2 minutes, on

Safety: power off before any physical intervention. Never bypass covers or interlocks — fuser areas run hot enough to burn.
