UPLIFT Desk 'RST' — Reset required

Applies to: UPLIFT V2 / V2-Commercial (JieCang controllers)

What this error means

The control box has lost its height calibration (after a power loss, overload, or firmware hiccup) and demands a reset before it will move normally. This is maintenance, not a failure.

Symptoms

  • Display flashes RST
  • Desk only moves down, or not at all

Try this first (safe DIY steps)

  1. Remove anything under the desk first — the reset drives to the physical bottom
  2. Press and HOLD the Down button (up to ~30 seconds) until the display shows RST (it renders as 'ASr' on the 7-segment display)
  3. Press and HOLD Down again until the desk lowers all the way, rises slightly, and stops — don't release early; that rebound is the reset completing
  4. If nothing happens, UPLIFT's official recovery is: unplug the power cord, hold Down for 10 seconds to discharge the controller, replug, and repeat the reset

Safety: power off before any physical intervention. Never bypass covers or interlocks — fuser areas run hot enough to burn.

When to call a technician

If repeated resets fail, check each leg's cable connection to the control box; a persistent RST after cable reseat usually means a control box replacement (user-installable part).
