What this error means
The laser unit's polygon motor didn't reach speed when switched on (SC203/204 are siblings in the same subsystem). Service-level: laser optics unit replacement.
Symptoms
- Error at power-on or first print
Try this first (safe DIY steps)
- Power off at the main switch, wait 60 seconds, power on
- If it recurs, note the full code (including any detail digits) for the service call
Safety: power off before any physical intervention. Never bypass covers or interlocks — fuser areas run hot enough to burn.
