Canon E003 — Fuser temperature dropped after warm-up

What this error means

The fuser reached operating temperature but then fell below the minimum threshold while running, pointing at a heater, thermistor, or power-supply fault.

Symptoms

• Machine errors out mid-run
• Prints may come out with unfused (smearing) toner just before the failure

Try this first (safe DIY steps)

1. Power off 60 seconds, power on, and try a single short job
2. Move the machine off any shared/overloaded circuit

Safety: power off before any physical intervention. Never bypass covers or interlocks — fuser areas run hot enough to burn.

When to call a technician

If it repeats — same repair path as E000/E002 and usually latched until service-mode reset.
