Canon E007 — Fuser film/fixing rotation error

What this error means

The machine detected that the fuser film or fixing assembly is not rotating correctly — often a worn fuser film unit or a drive problem.

Symptoms

• Grinding or slipping noise from the fuser area
• Wrinkled or jammed paper at the exit
• Error shortly after printing starts

Try this first (safe DIY steps)

1. Open the fuser access area and remove any jammed paper fragments
2. Reseat the fuser unit, power cycle once

Safety: power off before any physical intervention. Never bypass covers or interlocks — fuser areas run hot enough to burn.

When to call a technician

If the noise or error persists — fuser film kits are a routine but technical replacement.
