Canon E025 — Toner supply motor error

What this error means

The toner delivery system faulted: bottle rotation not detected, motor overcurrent (often from a toner bottle inserted wrong), or no toner detected after a supply cycle. On color machines the detail code identifies the color station. The high-percentage fix is simply reseating the bottle.

Symptoms

• E025 right after changing toner
• Toner-related warnings preceding it
• Color machines: one station affected

Try this first (safe DIY steps)

1. Remove the toner bottle, check for damage/clumping, reseat it firmly in the correct orientation
2. Power cycle
3. Try a fresh bottle if available

Safety: power off before any physical intervention. Never bypass covers or interlocks — fuser areas run hot enough to burn.

When to call a technician

Recurring with a good, correctly seated bottle = supply motor/hopper service.
