Canon E110 — Laser scanner motor speed error

What this error means

The polygon (laser scanner) motor didn't reach its specified speed in time. One power cycle is worth trying; a recurring E110 means the laser scanner unit is failing and needs replacement.

Symptoms

• Error at power-on or first print
• Changing whine from the laser unit beforehand

1. Power off at the main switch, wait 60 seconds, power on
2. If it recurs, note the full code (including any detail digits) for the service call
